Rainbow of Love

My feelings for you are shown in a rainbow,
many colors and a promise, as in the times of old.
The red shows my heart and the blood from it breaking.
The orange is from the sun, showing my body shaking.
Yellow, the color that shows my fear best.
Green shows my experience, I am new to all this.
Blue is my feelings when you aren't impressed.
Indigo, a color, like me, that blends in with all the rest,
and violet, the deep purple of bruises of pain I can't share.
And the promise, good as gold, at the end I will always be there.
Please don't cloud me over so I'll disappear,
or that is when I shed my last tear.
