| | This was a suprise concert for me. I found out about it 2 days before hand. It was in Valpo, IN about an hour and a half away. It took me a while to find the place. When I got there, I noticed what I always do... I am getting old.
The gym was good sized and a decent number of people were there. Of the 4 bands, 3 were punk and the other was more rock based (so they claim). The concert didn't start till 7:30, so most kids had to leave in the middle of Noggins set, which is a shame.
I got to hang out with NT after the show. They are cool dudes. I promise...
I didn't get back home till 2 AM. Isn't that what concerts are all about? :)
Paleskeeter impressed me. It was good to hear some rock based music in the mostly punk lineup. I bought the cd and listened to it today. I think they are worth the price of admission. They had good stage presence and kept the crowds interest.
Noggin Tobbogan... what can I say...
This is my second noggin concert. (OOPS... as Creepy informs me... and she is correct... this was my third concert). It was not as high quality as the last, but that was because of the stage, lighting and mixing. They performed just as well. Poor Jeff keeps having technical problems. At Ichthus it was his tubes, at this concert it was breaking a string right into the set. What did he do to upset Jimmi and the other guitar gods?
All of that being said, though, I enjoyed the concert greatly. Having been to a much larger one 2 nights before (Stavesacer/Living Sacrifice/Project 86), I was worn out and a smaller venue was a good change of pace for me.
